I'm guessing Ericsson gets benched. He has F1 experience. To take Nasr's maiden grand prix away would be awful.

I would hope Sauber chips a million or two his way to his lawyers to end the contract and be done with it. It is in their best interests in the long term.

In fairness what else is he to do? He's not getting paid to do this he's a pay driver. Obviously he was willing to pay in F1 since he has a deal it isn't likely Sauber can buy him out of it. Still can you imagine the warm fuzzies when he's racing this weekend? I almost wonder if Sauber dares sabotage their own car. I have a feeling if it looks like they aren't in range for points that he won't see the finish.

That's the problem. Sauber's broke and he was a pay driver to begin with.

Awkward position for everyone involved, for sure.

But nasr got himself into this shit, since 2014 even fans knew that VDG & Sutil were going to race in 2015, accepting Saubers deal meant he did not give a shit about VDG nor sutil, same goes to Ericcson.

that is the most reasonable thing to do, but i think giedo prefers racing for the team that getting his money back.

I think Sauber indeed will sabotage his own car. Who knows. First He (giedo) needs to get the superlicense which, is responsibility of the team to get before the race according to the court.

I dont understand how this topic hasn't shown up on Jalopnik. Its like F1 is non existent.

COOL, are you there for the race or are you from Australia like "RWC8"?

Formula E is in Miami, im going to watch this race completely to see if its interesting to follow the series. It is on Saturday so it doesn't interfere with F1

Awesome, that is lucky. the closest GP to me is Austin and its 6 hours from where i live in Mexico. But it is actually closer than the Mexican Gp (10 hours).

I want to go to Austin again this year (went 2012 and 2013) but have nothing planned yet. Mexico City...not so much. the City is overpopulated already, now imagine it when the GP takes place, it will be a nightmare. Also, the circuit is in the middle of the city so parking will be a very big issue.
And then theres the seating, on Austin i already know where are the bad spots, from where does the sun hit, where are the better corners and so on.
